Omoda Debuts its OMODA 4 SHS-H

If only Lotus made a family hatchback… Undoubtedly this is perhaps what it would look like, but this isn’t from the British sports car manufacturer. This is the OMODA 4 from Chinese super-group Chery. Not only does the OMODA 4 look stunning, but it is also confirmed to be launching in the U.K. in Q4 of 2026.

Omoda has also chosen the motor show in Beijing to showcase its full hybrid SHS-H powertrain, which was first seen in the OMODA 5 SHS-H at the beginning of the year, and reviewed by our very own Jim Starling. It brings great performance, and significantly better fuel economy, which can’t come soon enough for many motorists.

Omoda has chosen sharp, distinctive looks and strong styling for its Kia K4 competitor, highlighted by a beautiful metallic blue paintwork. It also has a focus on “advanced connectivity and intelligent driver assistance systems” matching the modern look of the exterioir with the latest cutting edge technology in the car.

OMODA 4

Sitting below the OMODA 5, the OMODA 4 should make for a very compelling package, with strong efficiency, striking looks, lots of tech, a practical shape and - undoubtedly - a very competitive starting price.

With the OMODA 5 starting at £24,040, the 4 should come in well below that price point representing incredible value for money.

This has got my excitement gland tickled, so as soon as we have more information, we will keep you updated.
