OMODA 4 Debuts

OMODA 4 Debuts Globally at Chery User Summit, Inspired by Cyber Mecha and Sci-Fi

The automotive world has a new name, the OMODA 4. Its global debut took place during the Chery User Summit in China, marking a significant milestone for the brand. This futuristic crossover, inspired by science fiction, cyberpunk aesthetics, and e-sports culture, promises to redefine the B-segment SUV with innovative design and cutting-edge technology.

The OMODA 4 enjoys a striking, angular design language

Futuristic Design and Inspiration

The OMODA 4 introduces a bold "Cyber Mecha" design philosophy, characterized by angular lines, metallic finishes, and robotics-inspired details. Notable exterior features include the innovative O-Universe lighting, with lightning bolt-shaped front and rear lights—an emblematic symbol of the vehicle’s virtual and real-world connection. Inside, the cabin immerses occupants in a sci-fi and gaming-inspired environment, with high-tech displays, diamond-shaped buttons, and a spaceship-style control center.

Richard Koo, OMODA Design Director, explained: “The OMODA 4 adopts a futuristic mecha-inspired exterior, with the mysterious ‘O-Universe Lightning’ transforming virtual energy into a visual signature. Inside, the design resonates with the passionate, adventurous spirit of younger generations, pushing the boundaries of automotive aesthetics.”

Innovative Features and Co-Creation Program

The interior boasts dual screens—one central display with 2.5K resolution resembling a gaming monitor, and a driver-focused cockpit interface. Physical controls feature diamond-shaped buttons encased in a pilot-inspired red cage for a dramatic effect. The focus on technology doesn’t just stop at aesthetics; the interior is built for connectivity, responsiveness, and user engagement.

OMODA plans to involve its fans directly through the “Co-Creation Ambassadors” program, inviting drivers and enthusiasts worldwide to share feedback during the vehicle’s development. Participants will receive early access, exclusive privileges, and recognition as part of shaping the future of OMODA vehicles. This initiative underscores OMODA’s commitment to collaborative innovation, aligning with the theme "Co-Create, Co-Define."

Launch Details and Future Outlook

While detailed specifications—such as powertrain options, pricing, and exact release dates—remain under wraps, OMODA UK confirms that the OMODA 4 will arrive in 2026. The vehicle will be offered as part of a lineup that includes internal combustion and hybrid energy options, supported by an extensive warranty package: 7 years/100,000 miles, an 8-year battery warranty, and RAC Home Start assistance.

Victor Zhang, UK Country Director, expressed enthusiasm: “The OMODA 4 embodies our bold vision for the UK market. The ‘Cyber Mecha’ design, combined with feedback from local drivers, will help shape the next chapter of OMODA’s innovation.”

A New Era for OMODA

The launch event was a celebration of technological innovation and future-forward thinking—complete with sci-fi characters and an industrial-themed unveiling. The OMODA 4’s debut signals a new era for the brand, emphasizing safety, space, and a daring, adventurous spirit inspired by outer space and the digital universe.

As the brand progresses towards 2026, the OMODA 4 aims to attract a new generation of lifestyle adventurers eager for stylish, connected, and innovative vehicles. OMODA’s expanding presence and commitment to user-driven development highlight its ambition to lead the future of mobility with bold design and pioneering technology.

Stay tuned for more updates on powertrains, pricing, and availability as OMODA prepares to launch the OMODA 4 in the UK and globally.

The OMODA 4 takes a bow in China unveil

We are expecting to see HEV and Full EV options, but details at the moment are under wraps (along with the all-important pricing).  Sharp lines give the car a purposeful look, whilst the interior features a large central iPad style infotainment display, nicely upholstered seats, all of which give the car a smart but yet conservative style.

The Omoda 4 Ultra is to be unveiled later this week at the 2025 Chery International User Summit, which promises much sportier styling, which is likely to attract a younger demographic than several other current Chery products.

Like it’s Chery International sibling brand Jaecoo, Omoda has seen a very positive sales performance in the UK, with both the OMODA 5 and OMODA 9 selling well. If priced correctly this car seems to have the hallmarks of another potential sales winner in the UK.

It seems very likely that the Omoda 4 will be heading to UK shores in 2026.

More news, and hopefully a test drive, coming soon.
