The Renault 4 is now a Breeze to Drive
The original Renault 4 had a good innings delivering simplified, robust, mobility to 8.1 million people between 1961 and 1992, and in its current incarnation - as an all-electric car - it was missing one option that the original was famed for - its opening canvas roof.
Until now, there was a glaring omission with countless people asking if the new Renault 4 would come with an optional opening canvas roof, and Renault has not disappointed.
Available only in techno+ and iconic+ trims, the ‘Plein Sud’ version adds a new fully electric reinvention of its canvas roof, without compromising the practicality and versatility that has defined the Renault 4 E-Tech electric.
Whilst other manufacturers may offer a glass panoramic roof, the new opening canvas roof is absolutely unique in this segment allowing customers to bring the outside in feeling the air blowing through their hair.
The Renault 4 with the canvas roof also comes with the full EV car grant bringing the cost of the techno+ 150hp comfort range canvas roof to £27,445 and the iconic+ 150hp comfort range canvas roof to £29,445.
Renault is not resting as it adds another dimension to the Renault 4 line-up following the recently launched Roland Garros version that celebrated the French Open tennis tournament.
Everything else remains unchanged with the WLTP rated range at 245 miles from a full charge and boot capacity at a very generous 420 litres.
Renault 4 E-Tech electric ‘Plein Sud’ available to order from today for R Pass customers, with the wider public able to order from 14th May. First deliveries expected from Q3 2026.
