Renault Serves an Ace with the Renault 4 Roland Garros

The promotional film for the 2026 Roland-Garros French Open tennis tournament is out, and for the 5th consecutive year Renault has partnered with the tournament in the only way it can - with the new Renault 4 Roland-Garros E-Tech electric car special edition.

Set to debut on May 18 on the Renault stand at the Porte d’Auteuil stadium, there are a few details that have been released ahead of the tournament.

The Renault 4 and 5 special edition are all about style, so they will be available in a shade of Glacier White to show off its range of customised features, such as the black side pillars and roof, a silver swish on the front wings with the Roland-Garros symbol, 18-inch “Parisienne” black diamond-cut wheels and Terracotta Brown wheel hubs, and front and rear bumper trims also in Terracotta Brown, thought to represent the clay courts.

There’s even an electric-powered opening roof in black canvas, a nod to the original Renault 4 from a now bygone era. With an opening up to 92 cm long and 80 cm wide, the roof floods the cabin with light and a breeze through your hair. Or for the follically challenged like me, with a breeze over your hat.

Inside there is a light grey upholstery, unique to the Roland Garros edition, made from fully recycled material, with a graphic weave said to represent sportswear. The front seats also get new side supports and an armrest covered with a blue textile.
Customers will also find the embossed Roland-Garros logo in the rear seats.

The door panels and lower dashboard section inserts match the seat fabric, alongside the blue refined textile. Customers will find subtle features such as a small French flag dotted around.
The dashboard will also remind owners that they’re in a special edition car as it features a vertical cross strip with a metal finish and a backlit area spelling out “Roland Garros Paris”.

Even the ‘gear selector’ has the feel of a tennis racket grip, complete with the Roland Garros logo.

The centre console has a wireless charging pad coloured in the same clay finish as the tennis courts. There are also clay-coloured floor mats with the R4 logo and brushed aluminium door sills with the name “Roland-Garros Paris”.

Renault says “a full reveal will take place during the tournament through an augmented reality feature available exclusively in the hello reno, Renault’s avatar app for iOS and Android. Users will be able to display the vehicle on screen in any environment (home, garden, garage, etc.), view it in a different colour, and explore it from every angle, both inside and out.”

The production version of Renault 4 Roland-Garros E-Tech electric will be available in autumn 2026.
