Prices Announced for the MY27 KIA PV5 Cargo Van

Kia has announced enhancements to its all-new all-electric PV5 Cargo van range, along with pricing updates for the new Cargo L1/H1 and L2/H1. And the good news is the Zero-Emission Van Grant (ZEVG) applies to all models.

PV5 Cargo L1/H1
The PV5 Cargo L1/H1 is intended for urban use, where compact dimensions and agile handling are most needed. Its has a shorter body, but has over four cubic metres of usable load space.

The L1 is 200mm shorter than the L2, and is available in the Essential and Plus trims that are offered across the PV5 Cargo line‑up.

There are two battery versions, a Standard Range 51.5 kWh that’s good for 177 miles on the WLTP combined test cycle and the Long Range 71.2 kWh with up to 243 miles available.
Payload is slightly increased over the L2/H1, rising by 10kg up to a maximum of 800kg for the Essential, Standard Range, 3-door.

The L1/H1 is available with 2-seats, but a 3-seat option is coming in early 2027.

PV5 Cargo MY27 updates
Kia has made a number of updates for the 2027 model year, perhaps having listen to feedback and taken action to ensure their van excels and hit the sweet spot for customers.

First up is an improvement to driver comfort with standard lumbar support and a driver’s height‑adjustable armrest, with the latter available on the two seat version.

A new composite bulkhead adds to cabin refinement, while three‑seats is now a standard feature on the Cargo L2/H1 – with two-seats a no-cost option.

Overall height has reduced to under 1.9 metres (1,899mm) - thanks to a new and short antenna -improving access to height‑restricted areas. And a walk away lock has been added at no cost.

UK Pricing
Pricing for the PV5 Cargo in the UK now starts from £27,355 (+VAT). Prices below include the Government Zero-Emission Van Grant (ZEVG), taking £5,000 off the on-the-road cost.

Premium Paint can be added for £625 (+VAT) on all vans, plus there’s a choice of ‘3-door’ or ‘4-door’ variants across both Cargo models, offering an additional sliding door for £355 (+VAT).

For those conscious of winter range reducing, a Heat Pump option is available to the ‘Plus’ Long Range model, priced £650 (+VAT), which should greatly improve cold weather efficiency.

Availability

MY27 updates across the Cargo line-up - including the new Cargo L1/H1 - are available to order from 8 June with customer deliveries starting in October this year.

Every PV5 comes with Kia’s industry-leading seven-year/100,000-mile warranty (eight years for the high-voltage battery pack).

More PV5 variants
Kia says that it will expand the PV5 family beyond Cargo and Passenger this year with a Crew version as well as the recently revealed PV5 Cargo L2/H2 high roof model.

Kia also plans to expand its PBV strategy with the PV7 in 2027 and the PV9 in 2029, completing a full PBV line-up.
