Lancia Gamma - A Stylish SUV Just Not for the U.K.
Lancia has made some of the most beautiful and outstanding cars, from the Group B Rally series Delta S4 and Stratos to the beautiful Fulvia, the outrageous Delta Integrale and the bonkers Ferrari powered Thema 8.32.
Lancia may have legendary status, but the U.K. market misses out on this iconic brand, which is a shame, because their latest offering with the new Gamma - a crossover fastback - is a really attractive looking car.
In fact, Lancia are proud to confirm the Gamma is designed, engineered and developed in Italy. And even though its built on the Stellantis Medium platform, it is quintessentially a Lancia.
At 4.67 meters in length, Lancia state that it’s been “conceived to combine efficiency, functionality and strong road presence”.
There are four powertrains on offer:
A 145 HP hybrid version with a range of over 1,000 km (621 miles)
Three electric versions:
- 230 HP with a range of over 540 km (335 miles)
- 245 HP with a range of over 740 km (460 miles)
- 375 HP all-wheel drive version with a range of up to 675 km (620 miles)
This epitomises the brand perfectly with elegant looks, a luxurious and simply unfussy interior, but with a big dollop of power, efficiency and refinement, yet leaving a spot in the line-up for the masses and an aspirational top-spec version.
The Gamma will be produced in Melfi as a model specifically designed for the European market, and made in Italy.
For qualifying countries, order books will be open after the summer with more details being shared over the next few months.
