DELIVAN to reveal first production electric vans
New Chery-backed van brand will unveil two production models in Hannover, alongside four converted variants as it prepares to enter European markets
New van brand DELIVAN is set to reveal its first production models at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover, marking the next stage in the company’s plans to establish itself in the European commercial vehicle market.
The new brand, which is backed by Chinese automotive giant Chery Holding, made its European debut at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham earlier this year, where it previewed its plans with a concept vehicle.
Now DELIVAN is ready to move beyond the concept stage, with two all-electric production vans set to make their public debut at IAA Transportation. The two models will represent different sizes within the company's planned European range, with DELIVAN targeting a variety of commercial applications.
The company will also use the event to demonstrate the flexibility of its platforms, displaying four converted versions of the vans designed for more specialist roles.
DELIVAN says it will announce a series of partnerships with European conversion companies at the show, including new agreements with businesses in Germany. The move is intended to demonstrate that the brand's ambitions extend beyond simply selling electric vans, with conversions and specialist body applications forming an important part of its European strategy.
The company is adopting what it calls an "In Somewhere, For Somewhere, Be Somewhere" approach, with an emphasis on establishing local operations and partnerships in the markets in which it operates.
That strategy is already taking shape in the UK. DELIVAN has established its European headquarters in Liverpool, while a German subsidiary is being created as the company expands its presence on the continent.
The IAA event will also provide the first opportunity to see DELIVAN's wider commercial vehicle ecosystem alongside its production vans.
This is split into three areas: DELIVAN PRO, which focuses on servicing and vehicle uptime; DELIVAN X, covering conversions and customisation; and DELIVAN I, the company's intelligent fleet technology proposition.
All three will be showcased alongside the production vehicles and converted vans at IAA, giving operators a broader idea of what DELIVAN intends to offer when it begins selling vehicles in Europe.
The company is also expected to announce agreements with major customers and strategic European partners during the event, as it continues to build what it describes as a localised European operation.
For buyers, however, the most important milestone will come later this year. DELIVAN says it will begin accepting orders in selected European markets during Q4 2026, with deliveries and a wider market rollout following in a phased introduction throughout 2027.
That puts DELIVAN into an increasingly crowded European electric van market, where established manufacturers are being joined by a growing number of Chinese brands looking to exploit demand for zero-emission commercial vehicles.
The company has yet to reveal full UK specifications, pricing and detailed technical information for its production vans, so the IAA unveiling should provide a much clearer picture of how DELIVAN intends to compete with the established players.
DELIVAN will exhibit at Hall 13, Stand E54 at IAA Transportation 2026.
