Renault Scenic Now Qualifies for Full Electric Car Grant
The Renault Scenic now qualifies for the full £3,750 Electric Car Grant with a new starting price of £33,245 with savings available from today on all new orders.
Renault Group was keen to get approval by demonstrating its locally built commitment and using 100% renewable energy from their LG Chem batteries - their supplier’s plant in Poland, with the car manufactured in Renault’s factory in Douai, France.
Renault’s entire electric car line-up is now eligible for ECG savings, with the Renault 4 and 5 qualifying since last year, which has helped Renault drive 87% year-on-year growth in its EV registrations in the first quarter of 2026, a remarkable achievement.
The Renault Scenic is a C-Segment SUV and comes with a 220 hp electric motor and an 87kWh battery pack providing for a range of up to 381 miles on the WLTP test cycle, which represent great value.

Adam Wood, Managing Director, Renault UK, said: “Renault Group was the first car manufacturer to have its decarbonisation targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) back in March 2019, and today’s confirmation of the maximum grant for Renault Scenic, as a result of its battery maker using 100% renewable energy at its plant, is another demonstration of how we have prioritised putting sustainability at the heart of our manufacturing processes.”
