Volvo launches EX30 Black Edition

Volvo’s smallest, and least expensive car on sale, the EX30 compact SUV now gets a new Black Edition, available on the single motor and twin motor versions.

Unsurprisingly, it’s only available in one paint option; Onyx black and has chrome delete throughout the exterior.
Inside is a deep blue Indigo interior with an upcycled denim trim.

Prices start at £40,060 for the single motor Black Edition Plus and rises to £45,360 for the twin motor for the Black Edition Ultra.
All versions include “Volvo’s advanced sensing technology with up to five radars, five cameras and twelve ultra-sonic sensors continuously monitoring the car’s surroundings to help support the driver.”
The EX30 also has adaptive cruise control and an electrically powered tailgate.

With a range of 295 miles on the WLTP test cycle, the EX30 Black Edition will sprint to 60 mph in a rather grin inducing 5.3 seconds.
The Twin Motor version has a modest reduction in range to 279 miles and will accelerate from a standstill, seemingly at warp speed, hitting 60 mph in 3.6 seconds.

EX30 Black Edition Thor Style DRLs

Like a Tesla, the only display is a central mounted 12.3-inch touchscreen with the glovebox conveniently tucked underneath providing easy access for the driver as well as the passenger.

The Black Edition will be available on Plus and Ultra trim levels across the Single Motor Extended Range and Twin Motor Performance Powertrains and is available to order now with deliveries starting in May.
