The London Motor Show Returns in 2027
Britain’s first show was held in South Kensington, London, in 1896 for the new horseless carriages, but it was no more than a club. However, the first British Motor Show, dedicated to displaying the latest cars, was at Crystal Palace in 1903 when the speed limit was an almighty 20 mph.
Since those early days over 100 years ago there has always been some excitement and anticipation when a motor show rolls into town. And next year the London International Motor Show will be returning to the Exel London from 26 - 28 February 2027.
Something British
The show will attract all the major motoring manufacturers, as well as the latest technology on display, concept cars, new releases and, most importantly, tens of thousands of visitors all waiting to see what’s on offer.
There will be a particular focus on the transition away from petrol and diesel cars to hybrids, plug-in hybrids and battery electric cars as well as displaying the latest and greatest software and connectivity services, such as in-car AI assistants which you can read more about here.
Technology on display from Mercedes
Alongside the London International Motor Show at Exel will be two other motoring events, including Motorsport Expo, the UK’s largest motorsport exhibition.
This will increase footfall to Exel as well as generating lots of interest in cars, motorsport, technology and much more.
The organisers state “Located at ExCeL London — just minutes from London City Airport and with direct transport links to central London — the show provides easy access for international exhibitors, media, and visitors. Its strategic location is expected to attract a diverse audience from across the UK and around the world.”
More information on exhibitors and tickets will be announced in the coming months and we will keep you informed when it is.
