Popular Jaecoo 5 Gets SHS-H Hybrid Option
JAECOO has added the popular SHS-H hybrid powertrain from the Chery Group to the popular JAECOO 5 SUV.
With of a 1.5 litre turbo petrol engine powering the front wheels and a DHT automatic gearbox, paired to an electric motor, a 1.83 kWh battery and a 53 litre fuel tank, this self-charging hybrid is capable of delivering 53 mpg and 650 miles of range from a full tank, marking a significant improvement over the standard petrol version.
And with a combined power of 224 hp, the JAECOO will gracefully trot to 60 mph from a standstill in 7.9 seconds.
The JAECOO 5 is available in five exterior colours – Granite White, Graphite Grey, Basalt Black, Copper Green and Lazuli Blue, with two-tone options available on the Granite White and Copper Green and will be available in both Pure and Luxury trims.
Pure trim includes a 13.2-inch portrait central touchscreen, a six-speaker SONY audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, plus a suite of advanced driver assistance systems.
Luxury adds an eight-speaker SONY audio system, a tilt and slide sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, and heated and ventilated front seats.

The JAECOO 5 SHS-H comes with a comprehensive 7-year/100,000-mile vehicle warranty and 8-year/100,000-mile warranty on the battery for peace of mind.
Prices for the Pure trim will start from £26,270 and the luxury trim will cost from £29,765. Deliveries are expected from Q3 2026, and available to order through the OMODA&JAECOO UK’s nationwide dealer network.
