BMW Group Announces its 2 Millionth Electric Vehicle

A BMW i5 M60 xDrive saloon in Tansanit Blue assembled at Plant Dingolfing is the two-millionth all-electric vehicle produced by the BMW Group with a special delivery to a customer in Spain.

The BMW Group started building electric cars when it launched the brilliant and small electric hatchback back in late 2013, selling over 250,000 examples world-wide by the time production ended in 2022.
The BMW Group has gone on to launch many more electric cars since, from the talented and fun MINI electric launching in 2019, to the super-luxurious Rolls Royce Spectre coupe in 2023.

When the Dingolfing Plant began series production of all-electric cars in 2021 - starting with the BMW iX - it has gone on to build a broad range of BEV models within the BMW Group, from the BMW iX, to the BMW i5 saloon and touring and the BMW i7 to name a few.

Since 2021, more than 320,000 all-electric vehicles have left the Lower Bavarian factory with more than a quarter of the vehicles produced at Plant Dingolfing were all-electric by 2025.

The BMW Group has four brands ; BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce and BMW Motorrad, with the recent addition of a fifth brand with its purchase of ALPINA, a former luxury car tuner dedicated to BMW models that is now formally a part of the BMW Group.
