Renault’s Bridger Car

Renault Group announced a new international market car with the Bridger Concept.

Designed in India and less than 4 meters in length (smaller than the award winning Renault 5), it promises to have an un-small interior. Renault actually claim it to be spacious, but provides little information on how, or what powers it.

For now this is just a show car, but it’s claimed to be the forerunner to a production version.

Renault are only teasing a glimpse at the back of the car and a silhouette, but it has a Land Rover Defenderish rear on a Suzuki Jimnyish sized footprint.

However, unlike the brilliant Defender and Jimny, Renault points out this is purely an urban vehicle designed as a compact SUV.

Renault spins this as “Derived from the English word "bridge", this powerful name evokes robustness, connection, and link.’, but has not specified which markets it’s intended for.

And we should be able to see that when full details and images of the Bridger are released on 10 March with the presentation of Renault Group's futuREady strategic plan.
