OMODA 9 gets 2026 Upgrades
OMODA has updated its flagship OMODA 9 SUV for the 2026 model year, introducing a series of comfort, technology and chassis enhancements alongside the arrival of a new Black Noble edition, which adds a more distinctive appearance to the plug-in hybrid flagship.

Priced from £44,995 on the road, the MY26 OMODA 9 range is available to order now ahead of customer deliveries beginning in August, while the new Black Noble model sits at the top of the line-up with a starting price of £46,495.
The most obvious addition to the range is the Black Noble, which introduces a full black exterior treatment designed to give the OMODA 9 a more understated and premium appearance. Finished in Iced Jasper Black paint, the new model replaces many of the standard car's chrome exterior details with matte black trim, including the roof rails and bumper accents, while black alloy wheels complete the monochrome look. Inside, the theme continues with black suede trim, creating a darker cabin ambience than the standard model.
Alongside the introduction of the new grade, OMODA has also focused on improving the flagship SUV's everyday comfort. The cabin now features a suede cloth headlining, while front occupants benefit from massage seats and expanded electric seat adjustment, with the driver gaining eight-way adjustment and an electrically adjustable thigh support, while the front passenger receives six-way electric adjustment. A heated windscreen has also been added, further enhancing the car's usability during colder weather.
Massaging seats add to the interior upgrades
The engineering changes are less obvious but are intended to improve refinement and driving dynamics. OMODA has revised the calibration of the OMODA 9's independent suspension, which continues to work alongside the vehicle's Continuous Damping Control (CDC) system to adjust the dampers in real time according to road conditions and driving inputs. The company says the revised suspension tuning delivers greater ride composure and improved body control without compromising comfort, while an updated steering programme has also been introduced to provide a more natural and engaging feel behind the wheel.
The powertrain itself remains unchanged, with the OMODA 9 continuing to use the brand's Super Hybrid System plug-in hybrid setup, which combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 34.46kWh battery pack. Together, the system develops 449PS and 700Nm of torque, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0-62mph in a claimed 4.9 seconds. OMODA also quotes an official electric-only driving range of up to 90 miles, a combined range of more than 700 miles and CO₂ emissions from 38g/km, while MY26 models also benefit from upgraded 6.6kW Vehicle-to-Load functionality, allowing owners to power a wider variety of electrical equipment directly from the vehicle.
The latest updates arrive as OMODA & JAECOO continues to expand its presence in the UK market. The company says its retail network now consists of 146 dealerships nationwide, while its product range has recently grown with the introduction of the OMODA 7, which slots between the OMODA 5 and the flagship OMODA 9. According to the manufacturer, the two brands achieved a combined UK market share of 4.58 per cent during June, reflecting continued growth as their range of electrified SUVs expands.
The MY26 OMODA 9 SHS-P is priced from £44,995 on the road, with the new Black Noble edition available from £46,495. Both models are available to pre-order now, with first UK customer deliveries expected to commence in August. As with the rest of the OMODA range, the vehicle is backed by a seven-year or 100,000-mile warranty, while the plug-in hybrid battery is covered separately for eight years or 100,000 miles.
