7 Seats Returns to the Tesla Model Y as a £2,500 Option
Whilst the U.K. waits for the hotly anticipated Model Y L - Tesla’s largest car and a full six seater - the Tesla configurator now has the option to spec a Model Y with an additional row of seats, configuring it as a 7 seater.
This is not the Y L car, so the 7-seat configuration is within the standard sized Model Y body, and the third row of seats would be ideal for a family with young children, but don’t expect adults to find it that roomy in the 3rd row.
However, there is room back there for two children and their full-sized cup holders.
The rearmost bench can be accessed by pulling up one of the outer seats in the second row.
Tesla Model Y Premium
The 7-seat configuration can be ordered as an optional extra on the Long Range All-wheel Drive Premium trim only at an additional cost of £2,500, or a total cost of £54,490 before other options are selected.
There is no confirmation of when, or if, the Tesla Model Y L will be available in the UK, or what the price may be, but it is currently being rolled out to other right-hand drive markets and we will let you know as soon as it becomes available to order in the U.K.
